The College of The Bahamas is proud to host a Confucius Institute to increase the mutual understanding between the Commonwealth of The Bahamas and the People’s Republic of China. The Institute promotes and supports the teaching of Chinese language and culture and facilitates cultural and educational exchanges and opportunities.
Thanks to the Institute, we have come to realize that the people of China are steeped in a rich, diverse and vibrant heritage; a heritage they are committed to sharing with the world. This sharing reaffirms and strengthens who they are as a people and the contributions they have made and will continue to make.
It is my hope that this Confucius Institute and our relationship with HANBAN and our host institution, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, will result in a long-standing and productive partnership that will last for generations to come.
